YOUR GUIDE TO THE ‘25 MOTO BEACH CLASSIC
Tomorrow marks the 9th Annual Moto Beach Classic, an event that fuses motorcycle culture, beach vibes, art, racing, and live music into one epic celebration. Held at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington/SeaLegs, it’s put on by Roland Sands Design and has grown into a must-attend for fans of two wheels and coastal energy.
Here’s a little teaser and some tips so you can get the most out of your day:
🏁 What to Expect
-
A packed schedule of flat track / Super Hooligan racing, along with an Arenacross / moto TT track set just steps from the surf.
-
Custom bike show, art installations (the “Architects of Inspiration”), vendors, demo rides, food & drink stalls.
-
Live music and after-party vibes into the evening. The racing & main activations wrap ~6 PM, with music and awards going until ~11 PM.
-
VIP tickets available, offering grandstand views, pit access (with waiver), dedicated restrooms & bar, and elevated vantage points.
-
The event is free to the public (general admission), though parking fees at the State Beach apply.
🎯 Tips & Pointers to Make It a Great Day
1. Arrive early & plan your parking / transport
State beach gates open early; beach parking is limited and costs ~$15/day. Because parking is tight, using ride-share (Uber/Lyft) is strongly recommended. Drop off near PCH & Warner, then walk down to the event.
2. Base camp it
Bring a wagon or cart, sunshade / umbrella, beach chairs, blanket, cooler, and snacks (within allowed limits) so you can stake out a comfortable spot to come back to between races or music sets.
3. Know the schedule / map ahead
Download or check the event schedule & map so you don’t miss key races or performances. With overlapping activations (racing, music, shows), you’ll want to pick your must-see slots.
4. Dress smart
-
Layers: mornings might be cooler, afternoons warm, then evening breezes.
-
Sun protection: hat, sunscreen, sunglasses.
-
Shoes: you’ll likely walk on sand, dirt paths, concrete, etc.
-
Ear protection: racing can get loud, especially near the track.
5. Capture the moments (within rules)
You’re free to bring cameras / GoPros (for your personal use), but professional photo/video requires media credentials. Check restrictions on drones (they’re not allowed).
6. Hydrate & pace yourself
Wear or carry water. With all the excitement, it’s easy to get dehydrated or fatigued — take breaks, sit in shade when needed, and recharge. There are food & drink vendors on site.
7. Experience everything
Don’t just stick to one zone. Walk the vendor village, check out the art shows, chat with builders, if you have a PIT pass, use it to talk to the racers. Catch live music, and absorb the full moto / beach culture mashup.
8. Plan your exit / after-party
By 6 PM the racing winds down, but the music & awards show extend later (~11 PM) at SeaLegs. Be ready for evening crowds and slower exits.
9. Respect the event vibe
This is a community and culture-driven affair. The organizers ask that attendees do not wear club patches / colors (out of respect for inclusivity). Also, leave the place cleaner than you found it.
